Vinyl Cutting
Cutting Vinyl
- Power on the Vinyl Cutter.
- Disengage the lever to the back left of the vinyl cutter to unlock the rollers.
- Load your vinyl. Make sure that the edge of the vinyl falls within the white “guide marks” and that the roller guides are on the edge of the vinyl.
- Re-engage the lever to the back left of the vinyl cutter to lock the vinyl in place.
- Select from the LCD panel whether you’re using a Roll or Piece.
- If you need help, please ask the Lab Monitor or the Art-Tech Technician.
- Launch Adobe Illustrator CS6
- Open or create the document you wish to cut.
- Choose from the File Menu Cutting Master >> Send to cutter.
- You should see it previewed in Red in the Cutting Master window.
- Make sure that any Text or Stroke is converted to outlines.
- If you’re ready to cut, click the Send Button
