Lawrence Hall Lobby Display

Digital Signage

Art-Tech operates a LCD display in the Lawrence Lobby. It is connected to an Apple Mini computer.

 

Scheduling the Display for Events

  1. All Digital Art programs have priority on the display.
  2. Please check for availability for the AAA Lobby display at: www.tinyurl.com/AAADisplay.
  3. Please submit a request to: aaahelp@uoregon.edu. This will create you a HelpDesk ticket for scheduling.
  4. All presentations will be either on a continuous loop during the scheduled times requested by the presenter, or in the mix of Video’s playing on the display.

The maximum presentation schedule is 6 days. This will allow for a digital presentation to run during the duration of a show in Laverne Krauss Gallery.

File formats accepted for viewing

  1. Microsoft PowerPoint presentations – MS PowerPoint 2011 for Mac
  2. Video Presentations – Quicktime and VLC

Restrictions and Limitations

  • Microsoft Powerpoint presentations: All slides and all media files must be complete and slide timing be completed by the presenter. The AAA HelpDesk Staff will not be editing any part of the presentation.
  • Video formats accepted: Please submit video to the HelpDesk in the following formats: We will be using Quicktime Player with Perian, & VLC media Player, the player supports with out additional codecs: .AVI, MP4, .M4v, MPEG-2, H.264, DivX, MPEG-4, WMV player.

 

Getting the Presentation to the AAA Computing for display

Presentations must be submitted via the RT Tracking system in AAA HelpDesk. Please submit a request to: aaahelp@uoregon.edu

No Later than 3 days before the scheduled presentation is to begin. Late submissions will not be accepted

All presentations must be accompanied with the following information:

▪      Presenters Name, aaasupport Ticket Number

▪      Phone number and email for contacting the presenter in case of issues.

▪      All presentation materials can be accepted in the following ways:

▪      On CD and or DVD (prefer that the movie files are just in digital format. not on a DVD per se)

▪      USB thumb drive
